This painting is inspired by Dia De Los Muertos and Folklorico. Once I discovered through my experiences the difference of the reaction with hibiscus tea 🌺 on cold press watercolor paper and a non cold press watercolor paper, I can say I got the reds and blues handled now.

I was visiting with a friend and had seen a deck of cards on the table that had the image of this piece for the art on the backs of all the cards in the deck.
I knew that I could recreate it at home, so I took a photo of the card and went home and whipped this up.
