How does membership work?

Artists/Makers pay a monthly membership to sell in our storefront and online store. We either pay with money or with volunteer time.

Artists + Makers that pay with volunteer time (10 hours a month) help operate our store. We re-opened our store with zero employees and 100% volunteers!

What are your membership requirements?

1. M536 members are required to be based in the Inland Empire.

2. M536 members must operate creative businesses and offer at least 1 physical product in our storefront. Items must be handmade or designed by the artist/maker. All mediums/crafts are welcome.

Is membership month-to-month?

Yes! Membership is month-to-month with no long-term contract. We ask for a 30-day notice if you plan to leave so we can plan for new vendors.

I want to pay my membership with volunteer time. What is the time commitment?

Members commit to two 5-hour volunteer shifts per month

(10 hours total). Shifts help keep the co-op running smoothly and ensure shared responsibility.

I don’t have time to volunteer. What is the monetary fee?

$40 a month.

What happens during my shift?

Shifts include helping customers, tidying displays, restocking shelves, processing sales, answering basic questions about the shop, and creating a welcoming environment.

Is there a commission taken from sales?

No! Sellers receive 100% of their sales.
